How a visit works

What to expect

Book a fixed play session, arrive just before the start and step into the Hood together. Here is everything that is useful to know in advance.

  • Fixed start and end time
  • Socks required
  • A grown-up stays present

In short

Come in together, play freely

Playhood is a child-sized play city. During your session, children choose their own role, build their own story and switch whenever they like. Grown-ups join in.

  • One ticket for the whole Hood

Your ticket gives access to the Hood and the Café. Food and drinks are available to order in the Café.

  • Space for every group

We use time slots and a limited number of tickets. That keeps the play city easy to navigate and gives children room to get absorbed in play.

  • You remain responsible

Playhood is not drop-off. Join in, watch nearby or have something in the café while supervising your child.

  • Choose your location and time

See current sessions and available times for each location. The time you select is the start of your session.

Your visit

From arrival to the bell

  1. 01

    Arrive

Come about five minutes before your slot. Shoes off, socks on. We reset between sessions, so the doors open shortly before the start.

  2. 02

    Enter the Hood

Choose a role, pick a costume and discover the houses together. Join in or stay close while your child directs the story.

  3. 03

    Good Hood Café

Take a break together with something from the Café, then step back into the Hood. Food and drinks are not included. Check the house rules for what you may bring.

  4. 04

    Wrap up together

The session ends at the same time for everyone, even if you arrived late. We sing a song and tidy together for the next group.

While you play

The story is never fixed

Baker, firefighter, doctor or hotel guest: the houses offer a starting point, but children decide what happens.

For grown-ups

Play together in your own way

Some children pull you straight into their story while others want to explore first. Join in, watch nearby or take a seat in the Café. Our team helps with play, but supervision remains with the parent or caregiver.

  • Follow your child's pace and story
  • Help them begin with a question without taking over
  • Let children first try to solve small disagreements themselves
  • Remain responsible and nearby throughout the session
