About the role
As Assistant Manager, you are the right hand of the Operations Director.
Where Shiftleaders focus on the day-to-day, you focus on what’s next: making sure the team is trained, stock is accurate, and quality is consistently high.
You play a key role in keeping the entire operation running smoothly, structured and scalable.
Your mission
Ensure the Playhood operation runs smoothly by maintaining strong administrative control, developing the team, and safeguarding quality standards — so every guest experiences Playhood at its best, every day.
What you’ll be responsible for
Operational partnership
- Work closely with the Operations Director on daily operations and improvements
- Support purchasing (F&B) and contribute to menu development
- Help structure and optimize operational processes
- Help problem solving, think in solutions
- Managing schedule’s, help the Operations Director on a weekly base to maintain the schedule’s
Stock & product management
- Lead weekly and monthly stock takes to minimize waste
- Implement and manage product control systems (ROLLER)
- Ensure alignment between system stock and physical inventory
Team leadership & training
- Train new and existing team members on Playhood standards
- Act as Quality Lead: monitor performance and support Shiftleaders on KPIs
- Build a strong, structured and well-prepared team
- Be a good example for the team
Quality & safety
- Ensure kitchen, café and play areas meet high Clean & Safe standards
- Safeguard consistency of the Playhood experience
- Identify and fix quality gaps proactively
Operations support
- Step in on the floor when needed to support the team
- Assist with Escaphood operations and events when required
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years experience in hospitality, operations or similar environments
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with stock management and/or operational systems (experience with tools like ROLLER is a plus)
- Natural leadership: you train, guide and elevate others
- Hands-on mentality combined with structured thinking
- Comfortable in dynamic, fast-paced environments
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
Working hours
- Tuesday: 08:30 – 17:30
- Thursday: 08:30 – 17:30
- Friday: 13:30 – 18:30
- Saturday: 08:30 – 15:30
- Total: ±30 hours per week
